Dannie Joe Harrison

Dannie Joe Harrison, age 68, of Jefferson City, TN and formerly of Toledo, OH, passed away suddenly Friday, June 29, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was born in Findlay, Ohio on February 14, 1939. Dan worked for General Motors as an inspector for 33 years at the Toledo, OH Transmission Plant. He retired in July, 1992. He and his family moved to Tennessee in 1994. he was an avid golfer and passed away playing the game he loved most. Dan always had a big smile, a big heart, a joke and helping hand for everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Frank Harrison; brothers, Gene, Daryl, and Jim Harrison and step-sister, Betty O-Harra. Survived by loving wife of 24 years, Rita Marie Harrison; children, Mike (Sharon) Harrison of Wooster, Ohio, Suzanne (Tony) Bowles of Perrysburg, Ohio, Mark (Laura) Harrison of Ontario, Canada, Lori (Kevin) Saunders of Swanton, Ohio, Randy (Tammy) Harrison of Stevensville, Ontario, Canada, Daniel (Heather) Harrison of Talbott, TN; step-children, Kathy (Doyle) Whitmill of Talbott, TN, Mark (Glenda) Savage of Morristown, TN; grandchildren, Joshua Harrison, Amber Harrison, Brittany, Brent, Brianna, Joseph Lewis, Michelle Lewis, Jeffrey Lewis, Leigh Harison, Brandy Harrison, Jason Saunders, Allan Jon Saunders, Kolton Harrison, Sklyer Harrison, Kyler Joseph Harrison, Jessica Lee Whitmill, Doyle David Whitmill, Alexandra Marie Whitmill, Johanna Savage, Shaunna Savage, Christopher Western, Samantha Western and Benjamin Savage; six great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Sherelene) Harrison of Davis, CA and Marty (Jeanie) Harrison of Granite Bay, CA; sister, Carol Harrison of Sacramento, CA; step-brothers, Paul (Wanda) Harrison of Westerville, Ohio and Edsel Harrison of Jacksonville, FL; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2007 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Dr. Joe Hamlet officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 t Jeffersom Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
