Daniel "Butch" Shands

Daniel "Butch" Shands, age 57 of Jefferson City, TN died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003 at his home. He was a retired employee of Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, TN after 30 years of service, and was a member of colonial Heights Baptist Church of Kingsport. He was preceded in death by his parents, A. D. and Opal Shands of Jefferson City. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Kathryn Martin of Murfreesboro, TN and Lauren Geddings of Knoxville, TN; son, John Daniel Shands of Johnson City, TN; brothers, Bobby Shands of Morristown, TN, Bill Shands of Jefferson City, Jerry Shands of Jefferson City, Jack Shands of Jefferson City, Ronnie Shands of Jefferson City and sister, Jolene Denton of Jefferson City. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2003 from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Young officiating. Family and friends will meet at Jefferson Memorial Gardens on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003 for an 11 a.m. graveside interment service.
