Daniel Edward Dennis

DANIEL EDWARD DENNIS, age 54, of Jefferson City, TN passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at St. Mary?s Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was a Christian, saved and baptized as a child at the old Northside Baptist Church in Jefferson City, TN. He was a former resident of Andrews, NC, who dearly loved the mountains and all wildlife. He was retired from Mahle in Morristown after 27 years of employment and leaves many special friends, including the Drinnon family of Sneedville, TN and the White family of Florence, Alabama. Preceded in death by grandparents; many special aunts and uncles; his mother, Joann Cockrum Dennis and father-in-law, Stacy Trull. Survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Kathryn T. Dennis of Jefferson City, TN; father and step-mother, Bill and Dorothy Dennis of Jefferson City; mother-in-law and husband, Lee and Boyd Honeycutt of Charlotte, NC; sister and husband, Teressa and Joe Coleman of Johnson City, TN; sister and husband, Susan and Ken Finchum of New Market, TN; brothers-in-law and wives, Stacy and Dee Trull of New Market, Eddy and Karen Giel of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Rhonda Frazier, also of Charlotte, NC, brother-in-law and wife, David and Lenny Trull of Lake Worth, FL; special nieces and nephews, Rodney and Deidra Helton, Jon and Amy Trull, Will Coleman, Jodi, Daniel and Ashley Finchum. Stacie and Rachel Frazier, Michael, Jamie, David, Will and Daniel Trull; one great-nephew, Wyatt Trull and soon to be born, great-niece, baby Helton ; and many close cousins. Funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend R. J. Seal and special friend, Allen Stroud officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. Pallbearers will be Mark Horner, Ken Finchum, David Drinnon, Rowland White, Jon Trull and Daniel Finchum. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Drinnon, Randy Drinnon, Rodney Stapleton, Tim Frazier and Rick Dennis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society, P. O. Box 653, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
