Daniel L. Davis

Daniel L. Davis, Sergeant First Class US Army Retired, age 62, of White Pine, TN passed away suddenly at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center on February 14, 2014. Dan was a 20 year veteran of the US Army, and was an over the road truck driver for 18 years. Dan has received his Associates Degree from Kaplan University and was two months shy of his Bachelor’s Degree. He is preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Mary Pauline Davis. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Carr Davis, of the home; and his 9 children, John, Jennifer, Rex, Dan II, Clare, Elizabeth and Sophia, all of Ohio, and Vanessa of Georgia, Theresa of Oklahoma; step-children, Deana of Georgia and Katrina of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; siblings, Chuck G. Davis of the Philippines, Teri Hill of Hermitage, Mary Margaret Badders, Mike Davis and Jim Davis all three of Ohio. Dan is also the Godfather to Ashley Davis and James Dominguez. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, 5-7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine. Military Graveside Interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Hwy, with the Tennessee Army National Guard Funeral Honors Team, and VFW Post #5266 officiating.
