Dale J. Cody

Dale J. Cody, born July 29, 1940 has lost his very courageous battle with cancer at his home on March 8, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Roxie (Hall) Cody; sisters, Gladys Henderson, Francis Guinn, Maxine Deece and Lucille Creek; one brother, Robert Cody. Dale was the last remaining sibling in his family. Dale is survived by his wife, caregiver and best friend of 19 years, Lesley Cody; three children, Jason Cody of Newport, Susan Ressler of Johnson City, and Jackie Cody; father-in-law, Junior Sane of Newport; sister-in-law, Deann Wilds of Newport; special nephews, Adam and Zackary Wilds of Newport, Mark Henderson of Ohio, Ed and Jeremy Henderson both of Michigan; nieces, Katie and Lindsay Henderson, both of Ohio; special friend, Billy Smith; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. He will be missed dearly by many people. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Susan Huntsinger and her staff at University Cancer Specialist and to Caris Healthcare and Staff for their loving care and dedication. Dale will be cremated at his request. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, 8:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine, with Rev. Scotty Gorrell officiating.
