COLBERT CURTIS STRANGE, age 64, of Kodak, TN, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Member and deacon of French Broad Valley Baptist Church. He was previously employed by Tennesse Handbags and Kenworth of Tennessee. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Daisy Strange and sister, Mary Huiting; brothers in law, Grady (Junior) Williams and Thurman Loveday. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Sims Strange; sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney Strange and wife, Karen, Mark Strange and wife, Kellie; grandchildren, Danica and Cimber Strange, Jordan and Kaitlyn Strange; step grandson, Eric Wilhite, all of Kodak; brothers, Warren Strange of Dandridge, Cecil Strange and wife Dulcie of Morristown; sisters, Martha Helen Loveday, bernice Hall and husband Claude, Deloris Williams, Gladys Sellars and husband, Bill, all fo Dandridge; brother in law, Lloyd Huiting of Knoxville; father and mother in law, Turner and Velma Sims of Kodak; sisters and brothers in law, Carolyn and J. D. Grandstaff, Marie and Earl Stiles, Wanda and Harold Ogle; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2003 at the French Broad Valley Baptist Church, Kodak, with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and rev. Billy Stidham officiating. Graveside interment services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2003 in the Underwood/French Broad Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund, French Broad Valley Baptist Church, 2826 Kim Drive, Kodak, TN 37764.
