Broadway Blvd. Jefferson City, TN 37760 Phone (865)475-3892 Fax (865)475-9916 OBITUARY: CURTIS (TEEZER) FRENCH, age 70, of Rocky Valley community in New Market, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2004 at Sevier County Health Care Center. A member of Rocky Valley Baptist Church, ?Teezer? and his family have owned and operated F & J Tractor Co. in Dandridge since 1962. He served as a county commissioner of Jefferson County from 1972 to 1982. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Ann Dowling French; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Telford Forgety; son, Curtis French II; grandsons, Trey and Shea Forgety and Curt French III; brother and sister-in-law, W. T. and Betty French of Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Don Finchum of Strawberry Plains; aunt, Hilda Clark; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2004 at the Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Charles Harkleroad and Reverend George Johnson officiating. Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at the funeral home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 10:30 a.m. graveside interment service. Pallbearers will be Gary and Ronnie French, Joe Peels, Ernie Roberts, Clifford ?Red? Rines, and Robert Seals. Honorary pallbearers will be John ?Jr.? Calloway, Bill Dance, John Larrance, G. W. Loy, John Maupin, Henry Privette, Pat Wice, Larry Williams and Jimmy Taylor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Rocky Valley Baptist Church Building Fund, 1477 Piedmont Road, New Market, TN 37820.
