Curley Elnora Evans Mattison

CURLEY ELNORA EVANS MATTISON, age 97, of Jefferson City, TN went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 22, 1916 to Walter and Curley Jones Evans in Dandridge, TN, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her was her loving husband, Charles Mattison, Sr.; son, Gilbert Mattison; four sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Mattison was a life-long member of Boyd Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a member of the church choir, the UMV, and sponsor for MYF, and a member of Courtsey Club. She is survived by daughters, Rev. Janice (Ernest) Johnson, Sandra (Ross) Cunningham of New Market, Brenda Walker and son, Charles Jr. (Gracie) Mattison of Jefferson City; seventeen grandchildren; and a host of a great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services for Mrs. Mattison will be Saturday, May 11, 2013. Receiving of friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Kenny Mattison, Minister Bernice Osborne, Rev. Alex Phipps and Rev. Gerald Hodge officiating. Graveside interment service will follow at Westview Cemetery.
