Corrine Vivian Csik

Corrine V. Csik, age 96 of Dandridge, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, an only child to Oman F. and Gladys Irene McLane. She was a member of the Dandridge Senior Center and loved to make cards (3-D floral cards) for everyone.

Corrine met her husband Ernest E. Csik, (the boy next door) when she was in her teens. Ernie never officially proposed to her, a ring came in the mail while he was away in the Marines. Corrine never sent it back, she kept it. It was mutual, he never asked, and she never said yes. Ernie was wounded in Iwo Jima and returned to the US where he received the Purple Heart from the Marine Corp.

He returned to Toledo, Ohio and married his sweetheart.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ernest E. Csik, and parents, Oman Floyd McLane and Gladys Irene Morgan McLane.
Corrine is survived by her daughters, Carole Violett and Brenda Csik and several cousins.
