Clyde Rex Jones

CLYDE REX JONES, age 83, of Dandridge, TN went to be with Jesus at the Jefferson County Nursing Home on Saturday morning, January 17, 2015. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Jefferson City and was retired from Owens Minor Medical Supplies. Clyde was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Jones; son, Larry (Lorrie) Jones, both of Dandridge; daughter, Patti Kelly of Powell; grandchildren, Jacob (Tiffany) Kelly of Powell, Joshua Kelly of Nashville, Caine Jones and Meghan Jones of Dandridge; sisters, Thelma Dunkin, Virginia Holbert, Ethel (John) Morie; brothers, Robert (Jackie) Jones, Virgil (Juanita) Jones; sister-in-laws, Mildred, Jean and Hazel Jones, Dorothy Grogan; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Leora Jones; brothers, Conard, Clarence (Margaret) Curtis, and Frank Jones; brother-in-laws, Roy Holbert and John Dunkin. The family extends their special thanks to the staff of the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home for their loving care. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2015, 7:00pm at Faith Baptist Church, Jefferson City with Rev. Mark Campbell officiating. Interment graveside services, Tuesday, 11:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at the church.
