CLIFFORD BRYSON, age 74, of White Pine, Tennessee, passed away at 3:00 pm. Monday, October 20, 2003 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital following a brief illness. He was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II, having served with the U. S. Army in Italy. He was the owner and operator of Bryson Well Drilling, having served the community for 40 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Isabella Bryson, and brother, Hoyle Singleton. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Tilda Putnam Bryson; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Pero; grandson, Joseph Pero, all of Peachtree City, Georgia; sister, Ruby Bryson Nelson of Waynesville, North Carolina; brothers, Lester and William Bryson of Canton, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Lula Burnette of Candler, North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Geneva Tabor of White Pine, TN and Virgie Head of Canton, North Carolina; brothers-in-law, Robert Putnam of Clyde, North Carolina, Howard Putnam of Canton, North Carolina and Tommy Putnam of Asheville, North Carolina; special niece and nephew, Jackie Bryson and Roy Bryson, both of Waynesville, North Carolina; several other nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Leon and Ilene Ingle and their family. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Leadvale Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Harkleroad and Reverend Charles Robison officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2003 at the funeral home to proceed to Resthaven Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Leadvale Baptist Church, 874 Leadvale Church Road, White Pine, TN 37890.
