Broadway Blvd. Jefferson City, TN 37760 Phone (865) 475-3892 Fax (865) 475-9916 OBITUARY: CLEO ALLIE OXFORD, age 98, of Charlotte, NC and formerly of Talbott, TN died September 7, 2007 at Carolinas Medical Center. She was born August 8, 1909 in Head of Barrens, TN to Joe and Mary Ann Mountain. She was an active member of the Jehovah Witness for 55 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Oxford; her parents; and brothers, Elmer, Odie, Hubert, Edgar and Bobby Mountain. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lynn Oxford of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Mrs. Hubert (Annette) Mountain of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Mr. William Barry and Mr. Chuck Bentel officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Park Road Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses on Gilford Road in Charlotte, NC with Mr. Robert Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends following the servcie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
