Retired from Bush Brothers, member of Bogart Chapel United Methodist Church, and a veteran of World War II, having served at Iwo Jima. Preceded in death by parents, Ben and Betsy Miller Etherton; step-mother, Nova; brothers, Amos and Raymond Etherton; sisters, Thelma Russell and Charity Parrott; sons, Earl and Curtis. Survived by wife of 67 years, Pauline Gann Etherton; sons, Jimmy and wife, June, George and wife, Carolyn, all of Dandridge; daughter-in-law, Lillian Ehterton of Dandridge and Brenda Etherton of Newport; grandchildren, Sherry Duncan, Robin Ganett, Lisa Parker, Vickie Denton, Eric and Jason Ehterton, all of Dandridge, Charlie Etherton of Sevierville; five great grandchildren; brothers Bob and J. B. Ehterton of Dandridge and Herman of Knoxville; sisters, Ray Ray of Michigan, Rachel Moore of Dandridge; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005 from the Farrar Dandridge Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2005 at the funeral home to proceed to Resthaven Cemetery for an 11:30 a.m. entombment service with military honors.
