OBITUARY:
CLEO ETHERTON, age 86 of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday, June 20, 2005 at Rock Castle Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY. Retired from Bush Brothers, member of Bogart Chapel United Methodist Church, and a veteran of World War II, having served at Iwo Jima. Preceded in death by parents, Ben and Betsy Miller Etherton; step-mother, Nova; brothers, Amos and Raymond Etherton; sisters, Thelma Russell and Charity Parrott; sons, Earl and Curtis. Survived by wife of 67 years, Pauline Gann Etherton; sons, Jimmy and wife, June, George and wife, Carolyn, all of Dandridge; daughter-in-law, Lillian Ehterton of Dandridge and Brenda Etherton of Newport; grandchildren, Sherry Duncan, Robin Ganett, Lisa Parker, Vickie Denton, Eric and Jason Ehterton, all of Dandridge, Charlie Etherton of Sevierville; five great grandchildren; brothers Bob and J. B. Ehterton of Dandridge and Herman of Knoxville; sisters, Ray Ray of Michigan, Rachel Moore of Dandridge; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005 from the Farrar Dandridge Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2005 at the funeral home to proceed to Resthaven Cemetery for an 11:30 a.m. entombment service with military honors.
