Clayton Arwood

Clayton Arwood, CPO USN (Ret.), age 81 of White Pine, left his earthly home on Thursday, February 16, 2017. He served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy for twenty-one years. After retirement from the military, he spent an additional twenty years working for Southern Railroad. He is preceded in death by: Wife: Phyllis Arwood and Son: Scott Arwood; Parents: John C. and Belle Arwood. Sisters: Maude Arwood and Dorothy Brown. Brothers: Charlie, Jay, and Bunt Arwood. He is survived and greatly missed by his son Clayton (Woody) Arwood. Grandchildren: Christopher ( Jennifer ) Arwood ( White Pine, TN ), Daniel Scott Arwood ( White Pine, TN) Tara Arwood (Tazewell,TN) and Clayton (Tiger) Arwood (Knoxville, TN); Great- Grandchildren: Dakota Arwood and Christopher Scott Arwood (White Pine, TN). Brother and Sister: Tip (Carolyn) Arwood and Gladys Cleek Also, several nieces, nephews, and other family members too numerous to mention. Additionally, his closest confidante Sharon Baker and her daughter Melissa Johnson and granddaughter Bridgette Thomas, and his beloved feline pets. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 5-7 :00 pm in Farrar's funeral home chapel. Honorable funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Farrar's Funeral Home in White Pine, TN. with Dr. Fred Lehrer officiating. Military graveside internment will follow in Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
