Clara Faye "Penny" Olden

Clara Faye "Penny" Olden,was born December 10, 1935 to the late Frank and Ida Neal Allen in Dandridge, Tennessee. The Lord called her home on August 24, 2002 at Life Care Nursing Home following an extended illness. She retired after 20 plus years of service at the Jefferson County Nursing Home and attended the bethel Presbyterian Church. Penny was a good and faithful woman who loved God by loving her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, Rudolph Olden; sisters and brothers, Sara Cross, Dixie Chandler, Agnes Olden, Pete Allen, James Allen, twins Eugene Allen and Clarence Allen and many other half brohters and sisters. She leaves to mourn her: sons, Steve and Greg (Marina) Allen; devoted nieces, Sara (starlain) Cain and Diane Carr; nephew, Thomas Allen; sister-in-law, Hester Allen; devoted friend, Nadine Taylor; 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Branner and Reverend Frances Branner officiating. Interment services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at the Dandridge Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the services.
