Cheryl Charlene Vance

On Friday, January 13th, 2023, Cheryl Mayberry Vance passed away peacefully in her home in Dandridge, TN, at the age of seventy three. 

Cheryl was an accomplished pianist in her early years, and traveled many places with her parents in her youth.  Her father, Abe Mayberry, was her superhero, and she looked up to him greatly. Cheryl earned a bachelor’s degree in education and taught many years as a 4th grade school teacher in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.  

She married her college sweetheart, Nick Vance in 1980, and they had two loving sons.  Together, Nick and Cheryl created a beautiful life, full of love and joy.  She took pleasure in being the neighborhood mom, and welcomed all into her home.  She enjoyed listening to music (Linda Eder and Elvis), and watching her favorite old movies. 

She is survived by her husband, Nick, and their sons, Tyler and Spencer, and will be missed by many more. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge, TN.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in Cheryl’s name to The Humane Society.
