Cheryl Coleen Taylor, age 56, passed away on March 28, 2018 at her home with family by her side. Cheryl was born February 5, 1962 to Gene and Wanda Roach of Rutledge. She was a resident of White Pine where she resided with her husband, Fred Taylor, they were married 26 years. Cheryl was the mother of Brandon Byrd, Whitney Rector, Meghan Chamberlain and Murphy Brown. She was Nana to Anna and Katie Byrd, sister to Jennifer Watson and Tina Bowman. Cheryl had a very special relationship with her aunt Betty Taylor. Cheryl was a member of Witt Baptist Church. She was highly active in church, she was the Junior Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School director, she sang in the choir and was the Relay For Life team captain. Cheryl was first diagnosed with cancer 16 years ago and had shown time and time how the power of prayer and medicine could work together to create HOPE. Cheryl was a strong advocate in her faith and it was evident in every aspect of her life. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 4-7:00pm at Witt Baptist Church with the funeral to follow officiated by Rev. Doug Brown. Graveside Interment will be on Saturday, March 31, 2018, 11:00am in Witt Baptist Church Cemetery.
