Charlie Derrick, Age 86, Dandridge, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019. He was a faithful member Of Greenhill Baptist Church, Dandridge, TN, for over 50 years. He retired from the Jefferson County Highway Department after 25 years’ service.
He was known for his love of Jesus, music, and tractors. He could often be heard playing his guitar or whistling. Many in the community know him for his help with their grass and gardens.
He was preceded in death by parents Catherine Priscilla “ Sillar” ( Williams) and Ralph Randolph Derrick, Sister, Mattie Lynn (Derrick) Fletcher, half- brothers, Rufus and Glenn Derrick, first wife of 33 years, Ruby ( Ingle) Derrick, second wife of 26 years, Faye( Kelly) Derrick, and grandson, Preston Ford.
He is survived by daughter, Barbara ( Derrick) Ford, granddaughter, Lindsey Ford, sister and brother in law, Mary Lee (Derrick) and Joseph Vaidik, niece, Susan
(Vaidik) Williams, brother in law, Floyd Fletcher, and several nieces and nephews.

A “Celebration of Life” Service will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Greenhill Baptist Church, in Dandridge, TN with Chaplain Kelly Reed officiating. Receiving of friends will be 2-4:00 pm, Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Greenhill Baptist Church with the service to follow at 4:00 pm. Interment will be on Monday, October 14 at 11:00 am at Boyd’s Creek Cemetery, Sevierville, TN.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Bayless, Wendell Cox, Doyle Derrick, Terry Hatfield, Mike
Howerton, Tom King, Jim McDonald, Ennis Mills, and Frank Roberts.
