Charles Woods

CHARLES WOODS, age 58, husband, father and friend to all, of Dandridge, TN, passed away suddenly on Friday evening, October 20, 2006 at his home. He was an active member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge, a veteran of the Vietnam War, and an employee of the Great American Insurance Company. Preceded in death by father, Major Woods; brother, Ellis Woods; nephews, Scott Dyke and Anthony Hayes. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Woods; daughter and son-in-law, Brianne and Brent Taylor; son, Brad Woods; grandchildren, Logan and Elyse Taylor; mother, Helen Woods; brothers, Dale (Gladys) Woods and Leroy Woods; sisters, Phyllis (Frank) Collins, Janice (Jerry) Hayes, Flora Sue (Gene) Dyke; sister-in-law, Donna Woods; brother-in-law, Eli (Karen) Matijevich, Tommy (Barbara) Carter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Clelda Carter. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge with Reverend Jerry DeZearn, Reverend Bob Emmert and Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Dandridge, 951 S Highway 92, Dandridge, TN 37725.
