Charles Edward Coldwell, age 75, of White Pine, TN passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Larkin Coldwell and Ella Mae Passmore-Coldwell; brothers, Earnest Coldwell, Clifton Coldwell and Roy Coldwell; sisters, Margaret Johnson and Hazel Ramsey. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane B. Coldwell; and sons, Steve Coldwell and Lynn (Amy) Coldwell; special grandson, Nathan Coldwell; sisters, June Bolling and Georgia Hampstead; sisters-in-law, Gerrie Coldwell, Johnnie Bolling and Mavis Bolling; brother-in-law, Earl Ramsey; also loved by several nieces, nephews and other family members. The family would like to express a special Thank You to UT Home Health and the staff at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center for all the wonderful care given to him. Charles was a former member of the Tennessee National Guard as a young man, and retired from BASF where he worked for over 30 years as an electrician. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2013, 3:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with the Rev. Sonny Davis and Rev. Danny Purkey officiating. Family will receive friends from 1-3:00pm prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be held in White Pine Cemetery following funeral service.
