Charles T. "Chuck" Abbott

CHARLES T. ?CHUCK? ABBOTT, age 87, of Dandridge, TN, formerly of Atlanta, GA passed away Friday morning, December 23, 2011. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy having served faithfully in World War II where he spent time as a POW. Chuck was active in church and community affairs and was a member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 50 year member of the Doric Blue Lodge of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Brazelton Lodge # 190 F. & AM, Jefferson Co. Shrine Club, Knoxville Scottish Rite Bodies and the Kerbela Shrine Temple. He is survived by his wife, Gail Cook Abbott; son, Daniel Paul Abbott of Alvaton, GA and nephew, Gerald Martin of Zephyrhills, FL. A celebration of life service will be held, Monday, Dec. 26, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Knisley officiating. Inurnment to follow with graveside masonic services in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 prior to services at the church.
