He was of the Baptist faith. Member of Morristown Masonic Lodge #767. He worked for Burnett Produce in Morristown before retiring in 1994. Preceded in death by his son, Charles E. King. Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Betty Lou King; daughter, Becky Clayton of Knoxville; grandchildren, Angela Faidley, Wende Natale, Caroline Buckner, David Clayton and Aaron King; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Nell Fowler of Florida, Ruth Wood of Knoxville, Edith Marie King of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. Memorial funeral services will be held at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, Southeast Affiliate, P. O.
