Charles R. Carr

CHARLES R. CARR, age 73 of Talbott, TN passed away at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July 17, 2005 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice following an extended illness. He attended Magna View Baptist Church. He was a member of Mossy Creek Lodge # 353 F & AM, where he served as secretary for many years. He retired from the U. S. Air Force with 28 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, Roy and 'Dora Carr. Survived by loving wife of 45 years, Mable Louise Carr; son and daughter-in-law, Byron and Christy Carr of Huntsville, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Robert Dietz of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren; sister, Janice Shackelford of Lenoir City, TN; brothers, Virgil Carr of Ohio and Paul Carr of KY; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Ken Booker and Frank Rhoton, and all the good friends in the neighborhood. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 from Farrar Funeral Chapel with Rev. George Miller and Rev. Alan Jewett officiating. Private graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Magna View Bapist Church, 1170 E. Highway 11 E, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
