Cecil Howard Sims,

CECIL HOWARD SIMS, JR., age 65, of Dandridge, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. He was a member of the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Mosheim. He was employed by the Jefferson County Justice Center and was a retired car salesman for Steve Hotze Ford. Preceded in death by daughters, Dena and Teresa Sims; grandsons, Ridge and Nicholas Sims; parents, Cecil Sims, Sr. and Gladys Sims; and brother, Richard Sims. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gayanne Sims; daughters, Tina Sims, Tammy Morton and husband, David, Carrie Payne and husband, Teddy, Christie Castleberry and husband, Daniel; sons, Rev. Jason Sims and wife, Cathy, Eric Sims and wife, Jamie; grandchildren, Jessica Dominque, Valerie Morton, Shane Cruz, Hailey Payne, Logan Sims, Brianne, Chyenne and Marissa Sims, Zadon Stout, Gevan and Shyla Sims; great-grandchild, Zarielle; sisters, Joyce (Kenneth) Cope, Shirley (Kim) Wolfe, Sharon and Eddie Kilgore; special friend, David Longmire and a host of wonderful friends. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 from the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend James Brady and Reverend Rick Newman officiating. Graveside interment service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
