Cecil G. Knight

CECIL G. KNIGHT, age 68, of Talbott, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Baptist West Hospital in Knoxville. Cecil was a member of Thankful Missionary Baptist Church in Morristown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elihue Knight and Maude Carmichael Knight; brothers, Clarence Knight, Claude Knight and Carl Knight. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara (Cookie) Knight; three children, Rev. Lonnie Knight and wife, Donna of Talbott, TN, Donna Carpenter and husband, Stan of Mooresburg, TN, Gerrie Burchell and husband, Herbie of Talbott, TN; three grandchildren, Brandi Knight of Morristown, TN, Jordan Knight of Talbott, TN and Matthew Carpenter of Mooresburg, TN; brother and sisters, Clifford and Jeannette Knight, Magdalene and Alvin Ogle, Imogene Kanipe, Lena Belle Jones and Pauline and Jake Sartain; as well as many special nieces, nephews and life long friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Thankful Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Free and Rev. Greg Ellison officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City.
