CECIL ROBERT “HARRY” CHAMBERS, age 89 of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday morning, October 30, 2018 at home. He was a member of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church, long-time employee of American Enka at Lowland, and was a graduate of Maury High School.
He served his country as well as his community in his involvement with the US. Army, Jefferson Cocke Utility District Board, Jefferson County Nursing Home Board, Dandridge Water Department, Dandridge Volunteer Fire Department, and Jefferson County Election Commission.
Harry was the son of the late Jerry (Boss) and Hassie Pauline Chambers. He was preceded in death by his wife Racine Reese Chambers and brother H.B. Chambers. He is survived by his sons, Phil and Jim (Jamie) Chambers; daughters, Susan (Lloyd) Parker and Sara (Gene) Williams. Harry loved his grandchildren, Lance and Rebecca Williams, Fallon Parker Hutcheon, Brandon, Bryce, Caden, Colin and Cailee Chambers; sister-in-law, Billie Jean Chambers; many nieces and nephews; special caregivers Tei Gagstatter, Megan Keller, and a long list of people.
Recieving of friends will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00pm til 7:00pm at the Dandridge First United Methodist Church with funeral services following at 7:00pm. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday November 2, 2018 at 11:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery.
