Carrie W. "Toad" Woods

Carrie W. ?Toad? Woods, age 90, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Jefferson County Nursing Home. She was a long time member of Swanns Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Woods; parents, Robert ?Bob? and Josie Woods; sister, Ina Bayless; brothers, Wayne Woods, Canada Woods, and Byrd Ivey. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and June Woods; grandchildren, John Woods, Jason and Lindsey Woods; great-grandchildren, Grant and Maggie Woods, all of Jefferson City; sister, Lula Potts of Dandridge; several nieces, nephews, and friends. The family wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jefferson County Nursing Home for their many years of love, care, and support. A special thank you is also extended to Joyce Simms of Dandridge. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Richie Hayes and Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Dandridge Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bud Potts, Jack Jenkins, Rusty James, Pete Martin, Jeff Elmore, Nick Chandler, and honorary pallbearer Earl Price.
