Carolyn Sue Idol Cameron

CAROLYN SUE IDOL CAMERON, age 63, of Rutledge, TN passed away at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at University of Tennessee Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a member of Helton Springs Baptist Church. She spent her entire working career in the sewing industry, working in several different facilities. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and “Mamaw” to all who ever met her. Preceded in death by her daughter, Starla Cameron Coffey; father, Henry Idol; mother and step-father, L. C. (Bud) and Corene Idol Gray; brother, Roy Idol; father-in-law, C. H. Cameron; nephew, Chucky Idol. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Gary Cameron; daughters, Sonya (Ringo) Ramsey, and Selena (Doug) Byrd; son George (Stacy) Cameron; grandchildren, Nathan Munsey, Whitney Meyers, Megan Cameron, Harley Ramsey, Nick Cameron, Cheyenne Ramsey, Sierra Byrd and Austyn Cameron; three great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Barbara Seals of Sneedville, Charles Idol of Washburn, Brenda (Don) Harris of Knoxville; mother-in-law, Velma Cameron; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Avery Turley and Rev. Mark Kitts officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Liberty Hill Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
