Carol Marie Lane

Carol Marie Lane, age 69 of Dandridge, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of February 6, 2025.

To know Carol was to know love. She had an unforgettable smile and personality; and an incredible sense of humor. For many years, Carol worked as a small business operator in her native Ohio, where she owned a restaurant and a contracting firm. She moved to Tennessee in 2016, where she reunited with several other family members. Although she loved University of Tennessee athletics, she remained equally true to her Ohio State roots.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Bob Lane & Virginia Reed; stepfather, Robert Reed; sister, Sharon Trent; niece, Laurie Bookman; several aunts and uncles, including J.T. & Debbie White; cousins, Jeff White & Mark Spaur; brothers-in-law, Dick Hart & Michael “Smitty” Pike; and several other extended family members.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda (MIckey) McClellan, Sandy Hart, Sondra Garman, & Pam Lane Pike; aunts, Linda White & Sue Spaur; uncle, Leroy Miner; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; extended family; and countless friends.

Per her wishes, Carol was cremated with no services planned. Family & friends will gather privately for a Celebration of Life at a later date.
