Carnett Howard

GENEVIEVE CARNETT HOWARD, age 90, of Eden, NC, formerly of White Pine, TN passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Mrs. Howard was born May 8, 1920 in Harrisburg, Illinois, the daughter of the late Lee and Magdaline Foster Carnett. She was a member of First Baptist Church of White Pine and attended Leaksville United Methodist Church in North Carolina for a short period of time. She was the former owner and operator for A & W Restaurant. Genevieve was a very special lady to her family, friends and also to her animals. Her life was a shining example of love and service to all who knew her. Her servant's heart reached out to people and animals who needed a loving touch. Her wonderful sense of humor made all of us happy. Genevieve has left a legacy of love to each of us. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Howard. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine from 1:00 to 2:00pm after which family and friends will proceed to Witt Cemetery for a graveside inurnment service officiated by Rev.
