Carlisle Stuart Umberger

Carlisle Stuart Umberger, age 74 of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was of the Methodist faith and retired from New Jersey Zinc Mines with 30 years of service. He served his country in the US Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Umberger. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Wilma Umberger of the home; daughter, Carla Smith and son in law, Lee Bliss of Jefferson City; brother, Duane Umberger of Talbott; sister, Gayle Bowlin of Morristown; and several nieces. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2003 from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donny Hankins officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003 to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for 11 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening, Jan. 31, 2003 at the funeral home prior to the funeral services.
