CARL R. GORRELL

CARL GORRELL, age 81 of the Chestnut Hill Community, Dandridge passed away Friday evening, September 8, 2017 at the Cumberland Village Genesis HealthCare Center of LaFollette following an extended illness. He was a member of the Big Spring Baptist Church, was a retired heavy equipment operator for BASF and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Gorrell, son, Keith Gorrell and daughter, Merry Clark; brothers, Jack and Bob Gorrell and sister, Frances Lane. He is survived by his children, Carla Hancock and Nancy Gorrell; grandchildren, Shanna Gorrell, Israel and Nathan Huff, Houston Gorrell, Thai Clark and Eric Rick; brothers, Gene and Junior Gorrell; sisters, Leanna Spisak and Vera Freeman. Graveside service inurnment services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017, 1:00pm at Big Spring-Profitt Cemetery. ARRANGEMENTS BY FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE.
