CARL A. (C.A.) SIMS, age 84, of Dandridge, TN went home to be with the Lord Monday morning, May 13, 2013. He was a member of the Deep Springs Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served overseas with the See Bee?s, and was a retired painting contractor. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend who will be missed by all that knew him. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha Raye (Moore) Sims; son and daughter-in-law, John and Jenny Sims; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Alex) Holsted, Hunter Sims; great-grandchild, Eden Isabella Holsted; brothers, W.B. ?Dub? Sims, Ray Sims, Sherrod Sims and Tex Sims; sisters, Betty Scarlett and Becky Thomas; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services, Wednesday, 7:00pm at the Deep Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Chambers officiating. Interment graveside services with military honors, Thursday, 11:00am at Fain Cemetery.
