Carl E. Biddle, age 81 of Talbott, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2003 at his residence following a brief illness. He was a member and elder of Westminister Presbyterian Church. He was a life long farmer of Jefferson County and served on the State Farm Bureau Insurance Board, the Jefferson County Farm Bureau Board, the Jefferson Farmers Cooperative Board and the Jefferson Memorial Hospital Board. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Maude Largen Biddle. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Spickard Biddle; sisters in law, Deane Smith of White Pine and Vera Williams of Harriman; cousins, Max Moore of White Pine, Linda Graziano of Knoxville and Teresa Wolf of San Antionio, C. N. Proffit of Mississippi; nieces, Marilyn Bingmann of Scottsdale, AZ and Mary Morris of Harriman; nephew, Jack Williams of Harriman. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003 from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. R. R. Turner and Rev. Russell Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday prior the the funeral services. Interment will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan 22, 2003 at Jarnigan Cemetery.
