Calvin C. Boyer

CALVIN C. BOYER, age 82, of Dandridge, TN passed away at his home on August 7, 2009. He was the owner of Calvin Cove Cabins on Douglas Lake and was also retired from US Steel Coal Mines in Gary, WV. Calvin is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy J. Boyer; parents, Walter and Susie David Boyer; brothers, Haley, Lonnie, Wayne and Richard Boyer. Survived by sons, Jackie Boyer and wife Loraine, Johnny R. Boyer, Jerry A. Boyer and wife Lea; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Saundra Thompson; brother, Walter Boyer, Jr.; also a host of other family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Emmett Manley who was his physicial since he has been in East Tennessee; also a special thank you to Rev. Samuel Parker. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Samuel Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside interment service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in Hills Union Cemetery.
