C.E.RENEAU, age 77, of Morristown, TN, formerly of Dandridge, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at home after a brief illness. He was a member of Watkins Chapel Methodist Church and a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U. S. Army. He was retired from BASF in 1992, where he worked for 42 years. C. E. was affectionally known by family and friends as C-Boy. C. E. was the last remaining survivor of the Willie M. and Ida Denton Reneau family of eleven children. Preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Stanley Reneau, Luther Reneau, Elmer Reneau, Bill Reneau, Clare Reneau, Katie Fain, Evelyn Carmichael, Lena Maples, Nana Belle Slaton, and Dixie Jones. He is survived by his wife, Donna Gail Patty Reneau and his children, Penny (Jeremy) Sherrod, Charlene Roach, Marianne (Michael) Cheaves, Karen (Joe) Slagle, and Chris (Sherlene) Lawson; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and former wife, Celeste Reneau. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers, cards and phone calls. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2008 from the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend Darrell Chambers officiating. Interment graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening prior to the funeral service.
