C. Lamar Orr, age 88, born May 4, 1924 in Richbury, SC, passed away on August 27, 2012. Preceded in death by son, Bill Orr; parents, James Albert and Laura Orr; brothers J.A. and Laney Orr; and sisters, Floris Maxwell and Laura Dye Millen. Survived by wife of 67 years, Dorothy Ellis Orr; son, John Orr and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Chris Orr and wife Susan, Carol Anne Scarlett and husband Tommy, Chad and wife Amy, grandson Matthew Orr; great grandchildren, Savanah, Laurel, Kaylyn, Lexi and Luke Orr and Charlisle and Trevor Scarlett; several nieces and nephews. Faithful member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson City, retired from 1st National Bank of Jefferson City ,and retired from board of Appalachian Electric Co-op. One of his first loves was his farm and he continued to go to the farm everyday until 2 weeks before his death. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Jefferson City with Dr. Gene Wilder officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
