C. W. Gray

C.W.GRAY, age 72 of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004 at the Baptist Hospital of Knoxville following a brief battle with cancer. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was retired from BASF in Morristown, TN since 1986. ?C.W. was an avid reader, gardner, and was very fond of beatuiful music, sports and the family dog and was well known for his ability to fix most anything.He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, H. Bruce and Flora Rutherford and grandson, Michael Joseph Gray. Survied by wife, Mary Templin Gray; son, Michael Edward Gray and wife, Lisbet Lutz Gray, all of Dandridge; daughter, Susan Lynne Gray of Jonesborough, TN; granddaughters, Kathryn Theone Gray of Dandridge and Amanda Gray Hopkins of White Pine; great granddaughter, Michaela Hopkins; brothers, Harold Bruce Gray of Newport; special loving cousins, Allene Gray and Arlene Hightower of Newport and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dale Chrisman and James W. and Ann Ford for their friendship and many acts of kindness and to the physicians and nurses and staff of Baptist Hospital for their excellent care. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Dennis Strange officiating. Interment graveside services 11 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Cemetery with Dr. Robert McCray presiding. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the services.
