Bruno William Heilgeist

BRUNO WILLIAM HEILGEIST, age 94, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Jefferson County Nursing Home. He was born February 12, 1918 in Spring Valley, Illinois. Bruno was of the Catholic faith. He was a lifetime member of the United Mine Workers of America. Bruno is preceded in death by his mother and father, Bruno and Margaret Heilgeist of Illinois; two sisters; and one brother. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Janell McDonald Heilgeist. Bruno and Janell spent several years traveling across the United States before retiring and settling permanently in Jefferson City. Bruno worked as an electrical engineer for the Peabody Coal Company. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Father Dan Whitman officiating. Entombment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers are David McDonald, Frank McDonald, Bryan McDonald, Leon Jekot, Daniel Reynolds and James Reynolds.
