OBITUARY:
Bruce T. Fox, age 83, of Powell, TN passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2005. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Oliver Springs. After his retirement from Union Carbide in Oak Ridge, he returned to the Fox family farm at Inman Bend, TN, where he pursued his love of farming, gardening, and fishing. He served with honor in the US Army during World War II, earning two Bronze Stars and four Bronze Service Medals during battles in the Pacific. Preceded in death by his parents, Lafayette (Fate) and Pearl Brady Fox; wife, Mary June Fox; and sister, Helen Londraville. His survivors include his daughter, Patricia Ann Walls and her husband, Mike of Knoxville; sons, Michael Bruce Fox and Thomas Wayne Fox, both of Powell; grandchildren, Lesley Amber Fox of Charleston, SC and Joseph Arthur Fox of Powell; sister, Ruth Worley of Morristown; brother and sister-in-law, Clay and Joan Fox of Bybee; brother, James Fox of Newport; brother-in-law, Dennis Babb and wife, Nancy; brother-in-law, Claude Londraville; sister-in-law, Helen Babb; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2005 at the Farrar White Pine Chapel with Reverend Kurt Rudd officiating. Graveside interment services will be Tuesday, March 14, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Hamblen Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
