Bruce Elmo Harrison, age 66, formerly of Steele, KY, died December 28, 2004 at home following a prolonged battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother; Callie, Willie and Darrell Harrison. He was a native of Steele, KY and had lived in Dandridge, TN for 25 years. He was a retired coal miner and local buisnessman. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Mohawk, TN, where he and his wife served as custodians. He also had many special friends at his former church, Swann's Chapel Baptist Church in Dandridge, where he served as a trustee. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Della McClanahan Harrison; three daughters, Diana Thacker of Dandridge, Angela Jones of Mohawk, and Gloria Ball of Dandridge; son, Chris Harrison of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI; sisters, Sue Dotson, Virginia Hoops, Della Kendrick, Rosa Hatfield, Katy Catron, and Linda Catron; brothers, Larry Harrison, Ronnie Harrison, Billy Harrison, Jerry Harrison, Rick Harrison; grandchildren, Aleshia Justus, Adam Jones, Rachel, Carter and Coleman Harrison, Victoria Thacker, Jacob and Jonathan Ball; great grandchild, MaKayla Justus; and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Friday, December 31, 2004 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with son-in-law, Larry Jones and Reverend John Price officiating. Interment will follow at Swanns Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Dandridge. Pallbearers will be his living brothers, Larry, Ronnie, Billy, Jerry and Rick Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Thacker, Eric Justus, Michael Ball, Adam Jones, Carter Harrison, Coleman Harrison and Michael Lunsford.
