He was an employee of the Jefferson County Highway Department and a member of Bat Harbor Baptist Church. Preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Mary Lindsey, George and Wilma Phillips; and uncle, John E. Lindsey. Survived by father and mother, Jack and Scarlett Lindsey, Jr.; brother, Josh Lindsey; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend Larry Ball and Reverend Ray Swann officiating. Interment to follow in French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
