She was a member of the First Baptist Church of White Pine and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and smiling face known around White Pine. Preceded in death by her parents, Paris and Sylvia Salmons; brothers, Jack Salmons and Ray Salmons; and step-son, Glen Jackson Phillips. She is survived by her husband, Bill Phillips; daughters, Paula Blanchard of White Pine, Patricia Gibson of Knoxville; step-son, William Blair Phillips of Palos Heights, IL; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2004 at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in White Pine with Reverend Jerry Colbert officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 to proceed to White Pine Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Monday evening prior to the service at the funeral home.
