BOW, age 84, born August 19, 1923, of New Market, TN went to be with the Lord and his four children who preceded him in death, on September 8, 2007. Boyd was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during World War II, receiving the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon and Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon. He owned and operated Rocky Valley Grocery for 25 years. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Erby and Clara Bow; sisters, Geraldine Matthews and Lena Hull. Survived by brother, Robert (Bob) Bow and sister, Lena Fresk of Jamestown, TN; special friend Mary Ann Rines of New Market. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville, TN with full military honors by East TN Veterans Honor Guard.
