BOUDRAU C. “BOODIE” McCARTER, age 80, of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday evening, January 25, 2016. She was the daughter of the late L.D. and Ollie Smith and was preceded in death by her brother, Theodore Smith. Boodie worked for the Knox Co. Schools in the food service department for 17 years and later for the Wagon Wheel Restaurant for 10 years; member of the Portand St. Baptist Church founded by her father, Rev. L.D. McCarter. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed she is survived by her husband, Billy Joe McCarter; sons, Steven E. McCarter and wife Qiulon, Danny R. McCarter and wife Donna, Ricky McCarter and wife Phyllis; daughter, Judy Knight and husband Bo; grandchildren, Kim Stahr, Steven McCarter, Jr., Missy Left, Ricky McCarter, Jr., Yan Kong, Jessica McCarter; 8 great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016, 2:00pm at Grants Chapel Cemetery.
