Bonnie Jean Cate

Bonnie Jean Cate, age 94 of Kodak, TN passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Life Care Center of Jefferson City, TN. She was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church but in her later years she attended Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother and a proud grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Leon Cate, daughter, Wanda Duke, father and mother, Claude and Nellie Hickman Thomas, brothers and sisters-in-law, Burl (Edith) Thomas and Roy (Ethel) Thomas, sons-in-law, Pat Dooley, Mitch Rutherford, and Royce Duke. She is survived by daughters, Linda Dooley of Kodak, Judy Rutherford of Knoxville, and Pat (Tim) Riley of Kodak, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Oak Grove Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside funeral service with Rev. Ryan Chapman and Rev. Ronnie White officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Farrar Funeral Home. The family would like to thank her special caregivers at Life Care Center of Jefferson City.
