Bobby C. Thomas

BOBBY C. THOMAS, age 76, of Talbott, TN passed away at Lakeway Regional Hospital in Morristown on January 1, 2009 after an extended illness. He was retired from General Motors in Anderson, Indiana. He was a member of Fellowship Lodge #681 in Anderson, IN where he was a Master Mason. He is a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U. S. Army, and a member of the American Legion #408 in Chesterfield, IN. He attended New Palestine United Methodist Church in New Palestine, IN. He was an avid fisherman and loved his Tennessee Mountains. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Helen Thomas, whom he loved dearly; children, Pam (Randy) McConnaughey of Newbern, NC, John McCurdy of Pendleton, IN, Marty (Mark) Muse of New Castle, IN, Tony (Tiese) Thomas of Greenfield, IN, Ronald Thomas of Anderson, IN; special nephew, Dr. John (Vicki) Thomas of New Palestine, IN; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends and neighborhood family. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Farrar Funeral Home. Morristown Lodge #231 will conduct Masonic Services at 6:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow with Reverend John Thomas officiating. Graveside interment service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2009 at Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors by the VFW #5266.
