Bobby Lee Taylor

BOBBY LEE TAYLOR, age 71 of New Market, TN passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010 at UT Medical Center. Born at Glen Alum, WV, he was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Norma Taylor Delbarton, WV; sister, Shirley; brother, Dewey (Dockey) Taylor of Delbarton, WV. Survived by wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Swafford Taylor; two sons, Robert and Larry Taylor of New Market, TN, a special person in Bob?s life, a daughter he and Liz never had, Nelma Kay (Worm) Cisco Elswick; brothers, Jim (Mary) of Delbarton, Doug and Linda, Roy and Wanda, Bill and Louise, Joe and Pat, all of Dandridge and Jerry of New Market; sisters, Judy and Jack Gillum of New Market and Kathy and Red Fielden of New Market; brothers-in-law, Jack and Sue Swafford of Rutledge, Wendell and Barbara of Jefferson City and Amos and Carman of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Stacy of Michigan; two special canine babies Amy and Sparkie, whom he loved as much as they loved him; many special nieces and nephews who were loved dearly by Bob. His livelihood was a carpenter. He loved to garden and go to the Community Center, keeping in shape and being with the friends he made there , and loved two special friends he walked with many many miles, Heldred and Joe. The family wishes to acknowledge their appreciation to friends who came to the hospital, prayed and sat with them many hours; also the nursing staff at UT Medical Center, Dr. Panella for his care of our loved one. Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City, TN with Reverend Gary Starr, Jr. officiating. Family will meet at the funeral home Sunday morning, May 23, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service at Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
