BOBBY JOE PHILLIPS, age 82, of Jefferson City, TN passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday December 28, 2023, and joined his Heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Anne Phillips ; parents, Joe A. And Pauline Phillips; and brother, Jim Phillips. He was a loving Husband, Father, and Granddaddy. He was a lifelong member and Deacon of Buffalo Grove Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for 50 years. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Lee (Stephen); son, Brad Phillips (Rhonda); grandchildren, Brittany Walker (Warren), Tyler Coffey (Allie), Chesney Rutherford (Austin), and Joe Phillips (Malai); great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sean and Beau Walker, Kellen and Creed Coffey. A special thank you to sister-in-law Jean Garrett for checking on and helping with Bobby. Also thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Jefferson Memorial Hospital and Amedisys Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Buffalo Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chad Chambers officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buffalo Grove Cemetery Fund.
