BOBBY E. HOFFNER, age 85 of New Market, TN passed away Saturday morning, June 11, 2016 following a brief illness. He was born in Knoxville, TN the son of the late A.C. and Lillie (Hodge) Hoffner. Bob was a member of the McCampbell’s Chapel UMC and was retired from the New Jersey and Coy Mines after 35 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Korean Conflict. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who enjoyed having a good time with his family and friends and working the family farm. Preceded in death by sons, Eddie Hoffner and Billy Gilliam. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pearl Hoffner, children, Calvin (Tammy) Hoffner and Dee Dee Hoffner; step-son, Jim Gilliam; grandchildren, Brandi, Robert, Billie and Justin Hoffner; special great-granddaughter his angel, Kailey Hoffner; grandsons, Ethan and Jamie; brother, A.J. (Elizabeth) Hoffner; nephews, James and Walter Hoffner and niece, Ada Lindsey; very special daughter-in-law, Tammy Hoffner; special friends, Leroy Russell, Bud Campbell, Harold Moore, Topper Martin, Chris and Mary Rule.
Funeral services, Monday, June 13, 2016, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Norris and Rev. Sherri Franklin officiating. Interment with military graveside honors will be held Tuesday, 11:00am at McCampbell’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
